Three English teams start their pre-season in Tenerife
– Brighton FC, AFC Rochdale and Hartlepool United FC have prepared these days, the next campaign on the island.
Tenerife Top Training (T3) remains one of the favourite destinations of European football clubs, even more so, since the opening of the second natural grass pitch. In the last two weeks, three English teams have come to the centre of high performance, in order to start their pre-season in Tenerife: Brighton FC, AFC Rochdale and Hartlepool United FC.
Brighton and Hove Albion FC is the team, amongst those, that plays in the Football League Championship. Last season, they stood at the gates of promotion to the Premier League, but first the ‘goal average’ (now tied on points with second-placed), and then the playoff, prevented that. Rochdale AFC reached the 10th place in the Sky Bet League 1 (League One), while Hartlepool United FC held the 16th place in the Sky Bet League 2 (League Two).
The trainer of Brighton and Hove Albion FC, Chris Hughton, noted about their stay in ‘T3’ that, “the facilities are excellent and gather everything you need. We have it come out great for workloads and undoubtedly have satisfied our expectations, “he concluded.
Meanwhile, the coach of Hartlepool United, Craig Hignett, commented on the high-performance centre “The pitches are immaculate, the equipment is super and they have everything we could possibly need,” “I would go so far as to say, that in all my years involved in football it’s the best training facility I have been to, underlined by how brilliant the staff there have been” “They stayed for our [first] full session to ensure everything was perfect for us, they simply couldn’t have done more.” he added.
These three English teams join a long list of clubs that have been at T3 before, which contains class entities like of Manchester City, Liverpool, Everton, Swansea City, Newcastle United (Premier League), Groningen (Netherlands) and Aberdeen (Scotland), Stuttgart (Germany), Real Zaragoza and Sporting Gijon (Spain), Basel (Switzerland), Czech U-21 Selection or FK Baumit Jablonec (Czech Republic), among others.
